Grandma Alice & Grandpa Cliff
Speaking of memories, one of my favorite childhood memories is that of my great-grandmother's garden. After the long, dark days of winter, happy daffodils reached toward the sky with their beautiful yellow blossoms. Her porch had rows of carefully tended hanging baskets full of bright, colorful fuchsias. Anytime I see those flowers, I'm immediately transported back to my childhood and the wonderful times I spent pulling dandelions, making spinning fuchsia ballerinas, and cutting flowers to sell at my summertime lemonade stand at grandma's house.
